Ranveer Singh starrer Kapil Dev’s biopic is undoubtedly the most-awaited Bollywood project for all the films and cricket lovers. While it is hard to wait for the film to hit the screens, the makers of the film keep treating fans with latest developments and additions about the Kabir Khan directorial. After Saqib Saleem and Ammy Virk. another actor has been added to the talented pool of actors to play one of the cricketers from 1993 World Cup winning team. Yes, south Indian actor R Badree has been roped in to portray the character of Sunil Valson in the upcoming movie 83.

Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media to share the news. Talking about working in the movie, according to the reports in Pinkvilla, R Badree expressed his excitement to work with Kabir Khan.  He also feels it is awesome to play Sunil Valson's character and to be a part of the reel Indian squad of 1983. For the unversed, Sunil Valson was one of the members of the 1983 Indian Cricket team and was the only player who did not play a single match thereon. Other than R Badree, the film also features Ranveer Singh, Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Saqib Saleem and many others in the lead roles and is going to be a multi starrer. 

Another development from the project ruled the headlines on Tuesday. Cricketer Sandeep Patil's son, Chirag, who would be seen playing his father in the film revealed that cricketer Kapil Dev’s daughter Amiya Dev will mark her debut in filmmaking as Kabir Khan’s assistant director in the film. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Chirag revealed, "We met for the first time while working on the film. She’s from Delhi, I'm from Mumbai and she's way younger than me. She's part of our daily training sessions since she is on the direction team. So, she keeps us updated on any meetings we are supposed to attend. Whenever I'm in Kabir's office she's there and is very involved in the process, be it planning the costumes or the schedule."
