The bold and upbeat Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who recently made huge headlines for his engagement rumours with Deepika Padukone, has turned rapper for his upcoming film Gully Boy. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles and, it is reportedly based on the life of rappers Naezy and Divine from Mumbai. The Befikre actor will be seen portraying the role of the Mumbai street rapper and the actor has been prepping hard to step into his character.
One of the Ranveer Singh fan pages shared a video of the actor, recording a rap song for the film and, now the rapping video has gone viral.
Gully Boy brings to the screen the fresh pair Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh for the first time on big screen. Although they have starred in several ads, this is the first time they will be seen in a movie together. This film also marks the reunion of Ranveer with Zoya Akhtar after Dil Dhadakne Do. Gully Boy is slated to go on floors in January.
Ranveer recently might have refused ‘Singh Is Kinng’ sequel because he is playing a sardar in Maneesh Sharma’s next. He will be seen as Alaudin Khilji in the much-delayed 'Padmavat', which releases on January 25 with Akshay Kumar's 'Padman'.
Apart from ‘Gully Boy’, Ranveer will also be seen as Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s ’83 and Simmba in Rohit Shetty-Karan Johar’s collaboration. Reports also claim that Ranveer will replace Abhishek Bachchan in ‘Dhoom 4’, as he will turn a cop for the franchise film.
