The latest Bollywood offering Sanju is ruling hearts all over. After earning a whopping Rs 120.06 crore in three days of its opening, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer is creating ripples in Australia as well.  The Rajkumar Hirani directorial venture has beaten other blockbusters like Dangal, Dhoom 3, PK, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and even Baahubali 2.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote about Sanju's phenomenal business at Australia box office on social media. "#Sanju is creating ripples in AUSTRALIA... Collects A$ 931,947... Crosses *opening weekend biz* of #Dhoom3 [A$ 695,782], #PK [A$ 680,524], #Sultan [A$ 639,513], #Dangal [A$ 735,755], #TigerZindaHai [A$ 577,781] and ALSO #Baahubali2 [Hindi; A$ 839,323]. @comScore”, he wrote.

In terms of this year's opening weekend collections in Australia, it is surpassed only by Padmaavat. Earlier, Padmavaat had collected Rs 114 crore over the opening weekend, while, the recently-released Salman Khan-starrer, Race 3, had raked in Rs 106.47 crore in the first three days. Taran Adarsh has called Sanju a masterpiece, and director Hirani a master storyteller.

The Kapoor scion can finally breathe a sigh of relief given Bombay Velvet, Jagga Jasoos, and Besharam had completely collapsed at the box office and things were looking a bit grim. Not only has he delivered a blockbuster this time around, his performance is also being touted as his career-best till now.

Meanwhile, Sanju has turned out to be Ranbir Kapoor’s second highest grosser. In just three days, Sanju has shattered the lifetime business of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Barfi, Rockstar, Raajneeti and many other Ranbir Kapoor’s films.

The Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju featuring Ranbir Kapoor hit the screens on June 29.
