This is what Ranbir Kapoor said on nepotism
The actor spoke his heart out at Jagga Jasoos press meet.
Ranbir Kapoor, who is all set to impress his fans with an entirely different avatar in Jagga Jassos, is known to speak his heart out on ongoing matters. So, when the star kid was asked to comment on controversial nepotism debate, he didn’t hesitate or refused to say anything. The Barfi actor was at his candid best and said nepotism is very much present in Bollywood. The debate which was started by Kangana Ranaut in Koffee with Karan has become the talk of the town.
Joining the discussion, Ranbir Kapoor said that nepotism exists everywhere and not only in Bollywood. Speaking at Jagga Jasoos press meet, he said, “It exists everywhere but more so in the film industry. But how I see it, I can only speak of my family. I believe my great grandfather worked really hard to give his children an opportunity in their professional life. I would like to work hard for my children so that they get the right opportunity, platform, the right first film. After that, it’s about your talent. So, yes, honestly, it does exist.”
Filmmaker Anurag Basu recently revealed that he is excited to present actor Ranbir Kapoor's new and different version in his forthcoming film Jagga Jasoos. .Ranbir, who has essayed the role of a college boy, a rock star and more in the past, will be seen as a school boy for the first time on the big screen. Basu said in a statement: "Ranbir has this inherent charm and innocence which he brought forth in his role. I wanted the audience to see a new and different version of Ranbir”.
On a related note, the film features Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. The movie is slated to release on July 14.
