New Delhi: Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ has become one of the highly anticipated movies of South Indian film industry. But a recent incident has got the makers of this thriller worried.
Media reports suggest that major portions of a song and dialogue promo have been leaked on the Internet. This has shocked the makers of the movie, whose audio release is due tomorrow, the 12th of June.
As a part of damage control, Think Music, the company which has acquired the music rights, is pulling out the pirated versions, since last night. If reports are to be believed, the dialogue promo is an important part of the movie, as it is when Rajinikanth explains the return of the don.
Music director Santhosh Narayanan, in his tweet from yesterday, expressed his concern on the leaks. His tweet confirmed that such an incident has happened.
The leaks have been shared multiple times on WhatsApp and have gone viral on Soundcloud. Com.
Sources close to the project revealed to a leading daily that the makers are planning to release a 35 second long clip with the audio release.
The leak is definitely upsetting news for the makers.
In ‘Kabali’, Rajinikanth plays the role of an aged don. The film’s teaser was released on May 1, and garnered 17.1 millions views on YouTube in almost a fortnight. It shattered all the existing record and became the most-viewed teaser of Indian cinema.
