The makers of megastar Rajinikanth’s upcoming action flick ‘2.0’ revealed the teaser poster of the movie on Wednesday. While the poster looks riveting, much to everyone’s surprise, the ‘Thalaiva’ star was missing from the poster of the movie.
Instead, it was Akshay Kumar, who plays the bad guy in ‘2.0’, that starred in the debut poster of the much-anticipated movie. Kumar will be seen playing the role an eccentric scientist and is reportedly named as Dr. Richard.
The poster also revealed that the first look of the movie will be unveiled on November 20 in a grand event . The launch event of ‘2.0’ will be held at Yash Raj Studios which will be hosted by Karan Johar.
Interestingly, the entire event will be live streamed on a YouTube channel.
Akshay too shared the poster on his Twitter account and captioned it as: “What awaits, no one knows!! Sit tight...just 4 days to go. Experience the #2Point0FirstLook on 20th Nov. at 5 pm Are you ready?”
This is the first time Akki has shared the screen with Rajinikanth and he is indeed excited about it. ‘2.0’ will also feature various action sequences between the two actors to which the ‘Rustom’ actor had stated that it would be an honour to be punched by a legend. The movie will also mark Akshay’s debut in Tollywood.
Earlier, the actor’s look from the movie had also gone viral on social media, where he look unrecognisable in his human turned crow look.
Notably, ‘2.0’ is a sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2010 release ‘Robot’ opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and is said to be made with a budget of Rs 350 crore, making it one of the most expensive movies in India.
Besides, Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth, ‘2.0’ also features Amy Jackson and Sudhanshu Pandey in key roles. ‘2.0’ will be a trilingual movie and will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
