The reincarnation film Raabta, starring rumoured lovers Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon couldn’t impress the audience as well as the critics. The Dinesh Vijan’s directional venture was expected to do well but sadly, the film didn’t meet any expectation, and failed at the box-office too. The fifth day BO collection of Raabta is out and, the figures don’t look impressive. The Sushant, Kriti film has earned Rs 20.71 after five days of its release.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle to announce the total business that the film made in five days. #Raabta Fri 5.61 cr, Sat 5.11 cr, Sun 5.21 cr, Mon 2.53 cr, Tue 2.25 cr. Total: ₹ 20.71 cr. India biz, he tweeted.
The film was made on a huge budget of Rs. 35 crores and it had an edge over the other film that released this weekend, Behen Hogi Teri. But the critic reactions and earnings indicates very low chances of this film being a success at BO. Taran Adarsh reviewed this film to be ‘Terrible’ and having ‘Bad Direction’.
Raabta is a love story that transcends beyond the boundaries of time. The film narrates the story of two ordinary individuals whose lives were going on track until their paths cross. It features Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon and Jim Sarbh in the lead roles. Deepika Padukone has also made a cameo in this film. Prior to its release, the film managed to garner a lot of publicity for the wrong reasons. The filmmakers of Magadheera slapped a case of plagiarism against Raabta. However, it won the plagiarism case against SS Rajamouli’s reincarnation drama.
