New Delhi: To a girl, a father is her first love. For a daughter, getting love from her dad is a huge thing. How he treats her sets the tone for so many other relationships in her life.

Today on the occasion of Father’s Day, everyone is expressing their love for their dearest dad, be it a commoner or a celebrity.

However, for ‘Desi Girl’ Priyanka Chopra, it’s a rather difficult time as she is still struggling to fill the void left by her father three years ago. Ashok Chopra, her father, lost the battle to cancer on June 10, 2013.

A few days ago, the diva spoke her heart about her deceased father in an interview to a leading daily. PeeCee said that she still hasn’t accepted that her father is no more.

“His death has been a big blow. I still haven’t dealt with it,” she says. “I don’t know if I’ve healed, but it doesn’t hurt either. I don’t think I have accepted it. I feel like I’m travelling all over the world, and dad will be home when I return. I think grief becomes your constant companion. You just learn to live with it.”

Priyanka is often seen sharing emotional posts about him on Twitter and Instagram.

A few days ago, she had shared a childhood picture of herself with her father and posted a heart touching caption that reads:

“To be serenaded and melting while he sings to me.. Adoring eyes.. Both ways. Miss u dad.”

We really wish that God gives her strength to deal with the loss.
