New Delhi: Seems like the stardom Bollywood actresses Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have earned around the globe is helping them earn loads of money in Bollywood as as well.

If the latest reports are to be believed, the two actresses of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ are charging close to Rs 1.5 crores for a four minute long performance at the IIFA awards. This year the prestigious award ceremony is being hosted Madrid, Spain.

Gossip mills suggest that Deepika and her co-star Priyanka asked for Rs 33 lakhs for each minute they are on stage. While the organisers were reluctant earlier, they had to agree to the demands of these two leading ladies of Bollywood.

Reportedly, the organisers wanted to have someone on stage who is well known in Spain, and these two actresses perfectly fit the bill.

A source close to this development told a leading daily,

“The organisers were in talks with many celebrities to perform on stage. They even conducted a research to find out which Bollywood celebrities are popular in Madrid and results showed Deepika and Priyanka top the actresses’ list and therefore, were ready to shell out a hefty amount to have them in their performance line-up. Normally, Bollywood girls are paid Rs 70-80 lakh for a stage act depending on their popularity and market value.”

Deepika and Priyanka have wrapped up shooting for their respective Hollywood movies, ‘xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage’ and ‘Baywatch’. Their Hollywood stints have, undoubtedly, increased their brand values, despite the fact that neither of them have signed any other Bollywood movies.

Another source was quoted by the daily as,

“The brand value of the two girls has shot up after they forayed into H’wood and if they are asking for that much money for a performance, it is absolutely justified. The organisers have agreed to their demand too.”

The IIFA celebrations kicked off yesterday with much aplomb. The four-day gala will conclude with a colourful and exuberant awards ceremony on Sunday.
