New Delhi: TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee who was found hanging from her ceiling fan on April 1 has brought in light many hidden secrets about the tinselvile; the pressure of surviving in industry, about abusing relationships and other things to name a few.
Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh has come under scrutiny. Though he has been given an anticipatory bail by the HC, he is yet not off the hook.
Now, Pratyusha’s mother Soma Banerjee has demanded a CBI probe in the death of her daughter.
Speaking to India TV, Soma said,
“We have full faith in police and judicial system. But we are demanding a CBI investigation because we think that Rahul is misleading us and the police.”
Last week, following a fresh statement by Soma, Rahul had been booked on charges abetment of suicide and assault. Cricketer turned producer Rahul Raj had applied for anticipatory bail in a sessions court only to be denied. He later approached the Mumbai High Court which granted him anticipatory bail till April 18.
Rahul and Pratyusha were in a live-in-relationship and had participated in the show Power Couple. Many close friends of the couple have alleged that Rahul was not nice to Pratyusha.
