Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is all set to woo the audience once again with his upcoming film Prassthanam. The makers have dropped the first poster featuring Sanju Baba on social media today. The film is a Hindi remake of Deva Katta's cult classic Prasthanam, which also stars Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff, Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur in lead roles.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Sanjay Dutt shared Prassthanam motion poster with a caption that read, “Haq doge toh Ramayan shuru hogi, chhinoge toh Mahabharat! Presenting the official poster of #Prassthanam”.
Sharing the same poster, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh further said, “Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Ali Fazal, Amyra Dastur and Satyajit Dubey... First look poster of Sanjay Dutt's home-production #Prassthanam... Remake of the Telugu hit... Directed by Deva Katta... Currently being filmed in Lucknow”.
Prassthanam will have Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala playing a married couple and Jackie Shroff will be seen playing one of the pivotal roles.
Director Deva Katta shares, “Prassthanam is a subject which is close to my heart and with Jackie sir joining the team, it’s a dream come true for me to be able to work with such a powerful cast. I have always looked up to them and its a great opportunity to be able to direct them.” When asked about their roles, Deva Katta said, “Wait and watch who is playing which character. I don’t want to speak much about the film at this point now.”
Prassthanam will also mark the return of the Khalnayak actor to Bollywood in the capacity of a producer. His last production venture was 2011 film 'Rascals'.
Prasthanam was a 2010 Telugu political thriller, which starred Sharwanand, Saikumar, Sundeep Kishan and Ruby Parihar.
