Powerhouses Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu reunite for Sujoy Ghosh's next

Sujoy Ghosh has previously directed critically acclaimed movies like Kahaani, Jhankaar Beats and short film Ahalya among others.

The two powerhouses of Bollywood are reuniting and we just can't keep calm. Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, who left us awe-struck with their performance in Pink have joined hands for Sujoy Ghosh's next. The crime thriller has been tentatively titled Badla and it will go on floor in June.

While Taapsee has signed the project, Mr. Bachchan is yet to do paperwork. Taapsee first got to work with the megastar in Shoojit Sircar's Pink and it turned out to be her breakthrough role. In an interview, the actress said, ''“It was an honour to work with him. Mr. Bachchan is an amazing and brilliant actor; everyone knows that. Yes, there was some pressure of performing well. I knew I have to be my best.''

Sujoy Ghosh has previously directed critically acclaimed movies like Kahaani, Jhankaar Beats and short film Ahalya among others. Sujoy's last offering was short movie Anukul featuring Saurabh Shukla and Kahaani fame Parambrata Chatterjee.

On the professional front, Taapsee is busy shooting for Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan, co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal. Recently, Taapsee has emerged to be one of the those few actresses who can perform diverse roles with panache. Amitabh Bachchan is currently awaiting the release of Umesh Shukla's 102 Not Out, co- starring Rishi Kapoor. Mr. Bachchan is playing the role of 102-year-old father to a 75-year-old son in the film. He is also busy shooting for Vijay Krishna Acharya's Thugs of Hindostan along with Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
