The holy festival of Ganesh Chaturthi 2017 was welcomed by Bollywood celebrities with enthusiasm on Friday in Mumbai. Several B-town stars such as Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Govinda and others celebrated the birth of Vighnaharta Lord Ganesha, which is particularly rejoiced in Maharashtra in full swing. Despite the heavy rains, the celebs welcomed Lord Ganesha home and celebrated the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi with their loved ones. Salman Khan's Ganapati celebrations are one of the most awaited ones not only for the actor and his family but also his contemporaries and media as it is nothing less than a gala time for everyone. But this year, the Tubelight chose to not celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at his Galaxy apartment but at his sister Arpita Khan Sharma's house.

Baahubali actress Tamannaah said the festival is more about expressing gratitude to the God than asking more from him. She sang an 'aarti' to welcome Lord Ganesha. The actress, who has just returned from the India Day Parade in New York, said: "We should respect all faiths and beliefs. I believe God is one and there are just different names. I am very proud and lucky to be an Indian."

Dressed in white and blue attire, Hrithik Roshan, who was last seen in the film Kaabil opposite Yami Gautam, welcomed Lord Ganesha with devotion.

Vivek Oberoi who is riding high on the success of his Tamil debut film, Vivegam has more reasons to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi and thank the almighty for his blessings. Seeking Bappa's blessings, teh actor welcomed Lord Ganesha to his home with full enthusiasm.

Tusshar Kapoor, son of veteran actor Jeetendra, welcomed Ganpati in a traditional dhoti avatar and performed the rituals with complete devotion. The actor said it has been difficult this year to adjust everything according to the new young member -- his son Lakkshya -- but he is excited about his upcoming film "Golmaal Again".

Veteran singer Bappi Lahiri also celebrates the festival with high spirits each year, and this time it was no different. He thanked the Lord and Maharashtra state for all his success and wealth.

Ganesh Chaturthi is an Indian festival which is celebrated by Hindus of the country. It involves the worship of Lord Ganesha. In this ten-day festival, people install clay Ganesha idols in their homes or on elaborate pandals. After offering prayers for 10 days, it is immersed in nearby water body.
