Actress Anushka Sharma is riding high on career after two back to back blockbusters ‘Sultan’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and now she is gearing up for her second home production ‘Phillauri’ opposite Diljit Dosanjh. With promising trailer and quirky story, the movie seems to be a hattrick for Anushka.
According to the recent tweet by Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, ‘Phillauri’ was made within the budget of Rs 21 crore and by selling satellite and music rights, the film has recovered Rs 12 crore. Thus, it is not going to be difficult for the makers to earn profit from the film.
Looking at the popularity of Anushka and the innovative methods that she has chosen to promote her film, audience is curious to see what the movie has in store for them. Another attractive thing in ‘Phillauri’ is Diljit Dosanjh, though it is his second Bollywood film, the star has managed to get huge fan following. He is sharing screen space for the first time with Anushka.
There is no denying that Anushka always gives more importance to quality. Thus, ‘Phillauri’ is going to be rich in content. The first home production of the actress ‘NH10’ narrated a powerful story and the lady carried the baggage of the film on her shoulders alone.
Since, ‘Sultan’ and ‘ADHM’ were made under big brands and had popular actors, if ‘Phillauri’ turns out to be successful then it would be Anushka’s third consecutive hit. This time, it would be with a lesser popular star.
Produced by Clean State Films, ‘Phillauri’ is directed by Anshai Lal. Along with Anushka and Diljit, the movie also features ‘Life of Pi’ fame Suraj Sharma. It is slated to release on March 24.
