The cinema halls have opened to three Bollywood releases today. From Arjun Rampal and Sonu Sood starrer Paltan to Imtiaz Ali’s Laila Majnu and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Gali Guleiyan, the moviegoers are surely flooded with options this week. So, before you make any decision, let’s have a quick look at all the three Friday releases.

Paltan 

Paltan is based on the Nathu La military clashes of 1967 which took place along the Sikkim border. The film tells the story of the Indian armed forces facing off in an intense battle to ward off Chinese infiltration. Paltan stars Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary, Harshvardhan Rane and Siddhanth Kapoor among others.

Laila Majnu

Set in Kashmir, Laila Majnu is a story that revolves around Kais (Avinash Tiwary) and Laila (Tripti Dimri) whose journey of love is filled with insurmountable obstacles.

Based on the classic story of Laila Majnu, this contemporary take on the tale has been penned by Imtiaz Ali. The film is directed by Sajid Ali and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Pi Films

Gali Guleiyan

Gali Guleiyan has been produced by Shuchi Jain of Extant Motion Pictures is all set to release in India on 7 September.  The film, also known as In The Shadows, has travelled to almost 20 international film festivals, even winning a Special Jury Mention at the gala in Melbourne.

Manoj Bajpayee, who won the Best Actor award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne for his role in the film, features in a heart-wrenching portrayal of a man trapped within the walls and alleys of old Delhi and his own mind, and it is about how he attempts to break free to find a human connection.
