Actor Shahid Kapoor, whose latest film ‘Rangoon’ is not performing well at the box office, has revealed that he will resume the shooting of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ within 10 days. The actor gave the information on micro blogging site Twitter.

While conducting a question answer session on Twitter, one of the actor’s fans asked him about filming ‘Padmavati’ again, to which the actor replied, “10 days”.

The actor who was lately busy with the promotions of Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ is currently spending quality time with his family.

After Bhansali faced the irk of some activists in Jaipur, the shooting of the movie was stopped for a while. While shooting the film at Jaigarh Fort in the city, the ace director was slapped and assaulted by activists of Karni Sena who alleged that the film portrays Rani Padmavati in bad light.

Bollywood stood up for SLB and even the makers made it clear that there is no distortion with the history in the film.

Now, with Shahid revealing this important detail about the film, it is expected that things will come on track soon.

In the period drama, Deepika Padukone will play the lead. Ranveer Singh will be seen as an antagonist. If everything goes well then, the film will hit the screens on November 17.
