Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati is making the headlines ever since its first poster was out. After posters of actors Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor’s looks from film were revealed by the makers, actor Raza Murad shared his look but seems that he wasn’t supposed to do it. The actor shared a poster in which he was seen as Sultan Jalaluddin Khilji but removed it later.
While sharing the post, he wrote, “This is my look in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. I am playing Jalaluddin Khilji who was the first ruler of Khilji dynasty in India. He ruled India (1290-1296) for six years and was killed by his paternal nephew and son in law, Alauddin Khilji, who took over the throne after killing his uncle and father in law- Ranveer Singh has played Allaudin Khilji. Deepika Padukone plays the titular role of Padmavati and Shahid Kapoor plays Rawal Ratan Singh, the ruler of Chittor, Deepika’s husband. The film would be released on 1st December, all over the world.”
But, as we all that people these days are very active on social media. Thus, some of them took screen shots and the poster went viral within few hours. The reason behind the actor removing the poster is yet to be known.
Yesterday, Ranveer shared his look as Alauddin Khilji at 2 AM. It was being said that he did with the fear of the poster getting leaked. However, the real reason behind it is still unknown.
On a related note, Padmavati is all set to hit the screens on December 1.
