Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone who played the titular role of Rani Padmavati in upcoming film Padmaavat spills beans on experience while shooting for the film. A day before the official release of the film, she revealed that shooting the Jauhar (Self-Immolation) scene for Padmaavat was the most special and challenging moment for her as an actor. After the special screenings, the actress received positive reception for her role as Rani Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama.

Acknowledging one such compliment which mentioned how the Jauhar scene is one of the biggest takeaways from the film, Deepika tweeted: "The Jauhar scene is by far my most special and challenging moments as an actor!"

"It was truly special shooting that scene over a couple of days," Deepika wrote to another user.

The climax scene features Deepika walking almost in a trance as she leads a pack of women to commit self-immolation. Deepika told another well-wisher on Twitter that it was a one-of-a-kind and a once in a lifetime moment for her to shoot that scene.

Deepika Padukone-starrer film Padmaavat is scheduled to release officially on Thursday. However few special shows have been scheduled in selected cinemas on January 24th itself. After a long tumultuous journey, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period film got a green signal from CBFC board and Supreme Court. However, the outrage around the film remains intact. Karni Sena has made it clear that they won’t let the film release, come what may.

"Padmaavat" is releasing on Thursday, January 25th.
