Actors Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte are gearing up for the release of their upcoming film Pad Man. The movie deals with the subject of menstrual hygiene and thus B-town stars these days are seen accepting and passing Pad Man challenge. Celebs are posing with sanitary pads to show that that periods are normal. After Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, Fanney Khan stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao posted a video in which they can be seen talking about sanitary napkins.
Rajkummar took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the video. He tweeted, “#PadManChallenge with the most wonderful @AnilKapoor. @akshaykumar @sonamakapoor @radhika_apte. It’s Natural. Period. Here we go @ayushmannk & @aditiraohydari.”
After the video surfaced on social media, many celebs including Anil’s daughter Sonam Kapoor lauded it. The actress wrote, “Woohoo!! Dad this is fantastic! I am who I am because of you and how you think! #progressive #feminist #artist #BestDad.”
Akshay and Aditi Raoi Hydari also praised the video.
Before this, many stars posed with sanitary napkins and extended their support to Pad Man.
The movie is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man who developed low cost sanitary napkins. Directed by R. Balki, the film is all set to hit the screens on February 9 and will fight the box office battle with Sidharth Malhotra starrer Aiyaary.
