If you tagged 2017 as the year of Bollywood sequels, well it was also the year of recreated songs. Old songs getting a new packaging remained the flavour this entire year. The reinvented versions are usually a step ahead of the previous ones with new beats and at times, rap too. As we are just few days away from bidding adieu to the year 2017, let's revisit the remade songs that became successful and stole our hearts.

Laila Main Laila (Raees)

This song from the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees had buzz around it even before it had released. Recreating the original Laila Main Laila with the sizzling Sunny Leone. Who could possibly resist that? The song garnered over 270 million views.

Tamma Tamma Again ( Badrinath Ki Dulhania)

Another remake song that made it to the playlist of music lovers, it was none other than Tamma Tamma Again from Badrinath Ki Dulhania featuring Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The song's original tune, lyrics and voice of singers Bappi Lahiri and Anuradha Paudwal, even the dance choreographed by Saroj Khan remained untouched which was one of the most intelligent things that was ever done in a remade song.

The Humma song (Ok Jaanu)

OK Jaanu was the remake that looked like it could end the dry spell. It was the modern movie that would open people up to such relationships. The Humma song definitely got its fair share of attention. It garnered over 217 million views on YouTube.

Saara Zamana (Kaabil)

The original song from the film Yaarana, Saara Zamana was remade in the film Kaabil. The remake has Urvashi Rautela shaking her booty to the new beats and is looking sizzling hot! The new rendition of the song did manage to attract a lot of attention.

Raabta

The title track of Sushant Singh Rajout and Kriti Sanon starrer, featuring Deepika Padukone, is a recreated version of romantic track Raabta from the film Agent Vinod [2012] starring Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The original soulful number was played in the film only as a background score but it became a hit with its multiple versions. Fortunately, the audience has loved the latest version with sensuous Deepika Padukone too.
