Nawazuddin Siddiqui is undoubtedly one of the most impressive actors we have got today in Hindi cinema. He connects with audience instantly and that's his USP. We all know that Nawaz is playing the role Saadat Hasan Manto, an Indo-Pak writer, playwright and author in his biopic 'Manto, directed by Nandita Das. And now, the reports say the actor will be seen in another biopic and that is on late Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray.
As per insiders, makers are quite impressed with Nawaz as he has pulled of late Thackeray's mannerisms and style quite well. The look of the biopic will be revealed in Mumbai in a grand event on December 21. Amitabh Bachchan too will be present there.
While Nawaz is reluctant to speak on the movie, Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut told DNA, ''Come to the first-look launch and all will be revealed.'' The spokesperson Raut is also the scriptwriter of the movie. Talking about his experience, he said, ''I've tried to be as true to the subject as cinematically possible without any interference from anyone, including the Thackeray family''.
On a related note, Nawaz was recently mired into controversy because of his autobiography in which he revealed explicit information about his past affairs.
