Actor Akshay Kumar, who won the National Film Award for Rustom will today accept it from President Pranab Mukherjee. The actor is very happy and shared a video on social media recalling his school days and also advised students to work on their strengths.
The actor stated that his parents taught him to know his strength and that was the reason he got the award. The actor talked about students committing suicide due to stress and pressure of studies. He asked students if their life is cheaper than exam sheets and to think about their parents before taking such a big step.

Akshay stated that these days parents don’t have time to discuss things with their children. He added that it is not shameful to take mental help if needed. He suggested that children should share their problems with their parents.
He concluded saying that suicide is not the solution to any problem.
This is Akshay’s first National Award. The ceremony will be conducted today at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Akshay has given many blockbusters in his career. He will next be seen in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and is currently shooting for Twinkle Khanna’s maiden production venture Padman.
