Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra’s film Namaste England which opened at only Rs 1.90 at box-office, could not attract much audience on the festive day as well. Namaste England, which is sequel of 2007 film Namaste London, earned Rs 2 crore on day two and made a total collection of Rs 3.50 crore at box-office, according to the report of Box Office India.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s film Badhaai Ho gave tough competition to Namaste England at box-office and made a collection of Rs 18.96 crore on day two.
Namaste England starring Parineeti and Arjun in lead roles, is a love story showcasing two characters namely Jasmeet and Param. Namaste England is directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and produced by Reliance Entertainment, Pen India Limited, Blockbuster Movie Entertainers.
Namaste England Box office collection:
Arjun and Parineeti look good together. Their earnestness is visible, but the weak writing of Namaste England pulls them down. Their characters are half-baked, which make you feel that something is missing out there on the screen. There are places when Arjun and Parineeti force themselves to bring out the right emotions. You don't feel for Parineeti's character Jasmeet, who hates her life being micro-managed.
On the other hand, I feel like giving the 'unbelievable best husband of the world' award to Param after watching the film. One thing that both the characters lack is depth and hence, when there is that Bollywood ending, you are like 'ok, kya naya hai isme?'
