Ever since the news of ‘Munnabhai 3’ broke out, speculations surrounding its shooting started doing rounds. Now, latest reports suggest that the third instalment of the successful franchise will go on floors in 2018, instantly after wrapping Sanjay Dutt’s biopic.
It was being said that director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra will soon be discussing the script with the actor.
Actor Sanjay Dutt revealed that the flick is very special for him and he is eagerly waiting for it to get started. He further added that the film had a concept and now Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod are working on the script.
Sanjay lauded the director-producer duo saying that they are trying to raise the standards of 'Lage Raho'. Thus, they are not hastening the process of making the flick. The actor went on to say that Vidhu Vinod Chopra never proceeds with any project till he is content about it and he also admitted that lot of efforts are required to make the coming part better than the previous ones.
The third part of the franchise is coming after a long gap, talking on the same; Sanjay said that powerful story demands time.
The 57-year-old said, “Agreed that it's a franchise that people will love to see every year but practically, we can't do that because we have to have a solid story. And cracking that takes a while.”
‘Munnabhai MBBS’ was released in 2003 and featured Gracy Singh opposite Sanjay Dutt. In ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, Vidya Balan played the female lead. The film was released in 2006.
