After the mind-boggling success of super-natural thriller drama on Colors ‘Naagin’, the makers are coming up with the second season of the show.
While the makers have high expectations with ‘Naagin 2’, the lead actress Mouni Roy is quite nervous about the show.
Mouni has played the role of Shivanya in the first season and will be seen in a double in ‘Naagin 2’.
The actress confessed that she is nervous wondering if the show will be able to live up to the expectations of the audience.
"There is pressure and responsibility. I feel nervous because of the expectations. I have read the screenplay of few upcoming episodes (of season two). I know its a good show. There is potential and I am hopeful audience will like season two as well," Mouni said.
‘Naagin’ was one of the highest rated shows on television and won numerous awards.
Roy also admitted that she was targeted by many for the content and story of the show which is woven around the concept of a Ichchadari Naagin.
However, Mouni remained unfazed by all the criticism, saying, “Its ok. To each its own. I did not think of all these (criticism) things when I started shooting Naagin. For me its fantasy fiction I love watching The Twilight, The Vampire Diaries. I was happy playing this role of Shivanya as it was a fantastic and different role for me”.
Talking about the third season of the show, Mouni said that though they were aware about the second season while they started shooting for first part. But she is a little sceptical about the other seasons of ‘Naagin’.
"I dont think we can decide beforehand about it (season three or four). As it all depends on the performance of season two," she said.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor, ‘Naagin 2’ will star Karanvir Bohra, Adaa Khan, Sudha Chandran and Aashka Goradia. The show will go on air this Saturday on Colors channel.
