Verteran actor Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan recently made his big Bollywood debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s much hyped ‘Mirzya’.

Despite all the hype surrounding it, the movie failed to leave a mark at the box office.

But newcomer Harshvardhan’s spirit to give his best shot is not dampened by the failure of his debut movie. Instead he feels ‘Mirzya’ was not a movie for everyone.

While he did accept the failure, he was unfazed by the box-office fiasco.

In fact, he was all praises for ‘Mirzya’ and stated that every movie has its own destiny.

"Every film has its own destiny. I feel 'Mirzya' is a work of art. It is a beautiful film and it will find its place in course of time", Harshvardhan said.

Harshvardhan feels "the audience is used to seeing newcomers presented in a certain way".

"I didn't do any of the conventional things. In terms of look or the character, I kept a huge beard and played a rustic character. Moreover, the love story is explained through its music so there are a lot of new things for viewers to take," said the 25-year-old.

Interestingly, ‘Mirzya’, which was based on the folklore of Mirza-Sahiba, also marked the Bollywood debut of actress Saiyami Kher.

Currently, Harshvardhan Kapoor is busy with his forthcoming movie ‘Bhavesh Joshi’, which will be helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane.
