Kangana Ranaut is working hard for her upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. As the name is suggestive enough, the Queen actress will be essaying the role of valiant Indian queen Manikarnika who fought the British rule in her empire heroically. While the entire cast were working day and night on the film, the biopic landed in some controversies after Sonu Sood walked out of the project. Also, the release date of the film has been deferred a number of times due to delay in post-production process or in order to avoid clashes. Now, finally Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is releasing on January 25, clashing with Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30.
On Saturday, the makers have dropped the date to release Manikarnika’s teaser. Sharing another picture of Kangana Ranaut donning the regal avatar, they revealed that the teaser will be out on October 2nd, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is directed by National Award-winning director Krish Jagarlamudi. However, the final touches have been given by Kangana Ranaut, under her direction. It was due to her donning the director’s hat that Sonu Sood left the project at the last moment. According to Kangana, the actor left the film because he was unwilling to work under a woman director. However, Sonu Sood argued that Manikarnika’s dates clashed with Simmba, due to which he had to walk away from the project.
