There’s a lot of anticipated built around Kangana Ranaut’s directorial debut Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Just 10 days ahead of its official release, the makers dropped another track from the film titled Bharat. The powerful, patriotism-invoking song has been sung by none other than veteran singer Shankar Mahadevan. The lyrics have been penned by noted lyricist and CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi. In the video, you can see the journey of young Manu becoming the valiant queen Jhansi Ki Rani. Kangana Ranaut is seen wielding swords and showing her skills which she mastered in real life for the film.
The cinematography of the song is magnificent, tracing the time dating back to the 19th century. The song is a tribute to Rani Lakshmibai who sacrificed her life fighting against the colonial rule in India. Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of Manikarnika in the period drama. Also, the actress has directed some portions of the film along with Krish Jagalarmudi.
Kangana Ranaut and the entire team of Manikarnika launched the song in Delhi at a grand launch event. Ankita Lokhande, who’s playing the role of Jhalkaribai was also present at the event.
