Recently, actor Sonu Sood who was playing a crucial role quit the film after Kangana decided to direct the reshoot and patchwork. While Kangana claims that Sonu denied working under a woman director, Sonu refutes the allegation. The actor said that he had quit because of scheduling conflicts and not due to the "gender of the director".
The period drama also features Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope and Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkarbai. The film, which was earlier supposed to release in April this year, will now hit the big screens on January 25, 2019. It will lock horns with Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30, which is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar. The movie has been helmed by Vikas Behl.
