Kangana Ranaut starrer biographical period drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is based on the life of Rani Laxmibai released recently. The film received mixed reviews of critics and made an opening collection of Rs 8.75 crore. The film managed to earn Rs 18.10 crore on day 2, Rs 15.70 crore on day 3 and Rs 5.10 crore on day 4. A slight decline was seen in Manikarnika collection on day 4. And the film has managed to collect a total of Rs 47.65 crore till day 4.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh stating the day 4 collection of Manikarnika wrote, ‘’#Manikarnika is decent on crucial Mon. Decline on Day 4 [vis-à-vis Day 1]: 41.71%... The queen of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut is popular for stupendous performances in every kind of role she has been offered raising the bar of expectations for her audience in Manikarnika as well. She was fierce and looked every bit convincing. She effortlessly brought Manikarnikma to life on the screen.
On the other hand, television actress Ankita Lokhande looks impressive as Jhalkari Bai in the film. Ankita's dance performance in the first half of the film also sings the praises of actress's talent.
