Bollywood's latest offering Luka Chuppi, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon as the lead pair opened at the box-office on a remarkable note. The comedy-drama picked up really well on the second day earning Rs 10.08 crore, taking the total Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection to Rs 18/09 crore. Luka Chuppi, that deals with the concept of live-in relationships, received mixed reviews from film critics across the country upon its release on March 1.
"#LukaChuppi zooms upwards on Day 2... Another strong day [Day 3] will place it in a comfortable position due to the controlled costs... Will cross *opening weekend* biz of #SKTKS [₹ 26.57 cr] and #PKP2 [₹ 22.75 cr]... Fri 8.01 cr, Sat 10.08 cr. Total: ₹ 18.09 cr. India biz", writes trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.
Luka Chuppi is Kartik Aaryan's biggest opening film till now, Taran Adarsh wrote in a separate tweet. 2015's Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 had opened at Rs. 6.80 crore, last year's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety earned Rs. 6.42 crore on Day 1 while his debut film Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which released in 2011, collected Rs. 92 lakh when it first opened in the theatres.
Luka Chuppi is produced by Dinesh Vijan, whose last movie Stree was one of the most acclaimed movies of 2018. It had done extremely well at the box office as well
