New Delhi: The latest TRP reports certify that comedian Kapil Sharma, is far from defeated in this battle of eyeballs. Looks like the show has picked up pace again and is now being back to be one of the highest scorers in the TRP report card. The episode which was aired on 12th of June scored 3.7 on the TRP chart, meaning 3.7% of total viewers, during the particular time slot, were hooked to Kapil’s show.
On the day, the team of Marathi film ‘Sairat’ came to share their stories on TKSS and did what they are known for, succeeding. ‘Sairat’ has become one of the most successful movies of Marathi cinema and so far has minted close to Rs 80 crores.
Directed by Nagraj Manjule, ‘Sairat’ is a love story of two teenagers played by Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar.
Looks like Kapil’s show benefitted a lot from this romantic movie. Over the past few weeks, Kapil and his on screen family failed to keep up with the expectations of viewers. They did host a plethora of celebrities, from cricketers to film stars, but the stardom did not compel people to switch to Sony, the channel on which the show airs.
Gladly, for Kapil this has changed and he could not be happier.
A few days ago, Kapil was in news when he reportedly halted the shooting of The Kapil Sharma Show to meet a fan battling with cancer. The woman, who came to live watch his show with his daughter, had a great time meeting him. Kapil even introduced her to other members of his on screen family.
