Kapil Sharma returns tonight: 5 reasons that make the first episode special

New Delhi: Comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma is returning to his kingdom to claim it. His last stint on TV, Comedy Nights with Kapil, ensured a large population remained glued to their sets.

After a fallout with the channel Colors, Kapil Sharma is back to tickle your funny bone. Tonight, the show will have its grand première and his fans are quite excited for the show.

Before the premiere of the much-awaited show, we list you five reasons which make the first episode singular in every way:

King of comedy Kapil Sharma:

Undoubtedly, the channel Sony is placing its biggest bet on the name of Kapil Sharma. The Punjabi boy hailing from a humble background has won hearts of millions of Indians. Post his exit from CNWK, every show of which he was a part of saw high TRP’s. This proves that Kapil’s fans are craving to see him more and more for his appearances. With The Kapil Sharma Show, they will get just that. 

Shah Rukh Khan and Kapil Sharma:

Kapil Sharma somewhere won half the battle when he roped in superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the guest on the pilot episode. SRK and Kapil’s bromance is quite hilarious as seen in episodes of CNWK. Combine Kapil’s comic timing with SRK’s wit and you have the recipe for a blockbuster episode.

Sunil Grover:

Actor Sunil Grover tried his best to carve a niche for himself leaving Kapil, but we all know how that fared. After not tasting success, he swore his allegiance to Kapil and left CNWK with the latter. While his character Guthi, is still etched on people’s memories, it would be quite interesting to see Sunil donning new roles in the show. He will be seen today as a lady inspector taking on Shah Rukh Khan. Let us see what Sunil offers in the upcoming episodes.

Live audience:

Kapil has done many live shows in the past, but mostly outside India. The first episode of the show will play out before a live audience in Delhi. Just like the spectators of ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ had found it difficult to not laugh their hearts out, Delhi’s audience will experience the same, most probably.

New characters:

As a part of the contract set by Colors, Kapil Sharma is not allowed to use the same characters for his new show; which means, that though he has the actors, their characters are different. But, one can trust Kapil and his creative team to come up with extraordinary roles. We already know that Sumona Chakravati will not be playing Kapil’s wife neither will Ali Asgar portray his dadi. With brand new characters, the expectations have definitely risen.
