Kapil Sharma Booked For Illegal Construction At Goregaon Flat
The comedian stirred a controversy last week when he tweeted to PM Modi alleging that he was asked to pay Rs 5 lakhs by an official of BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) to build office.
However, the allegations backfired on Kapil Sharma when the BMC official (sub engineer) Abhay Jagtap lodged a complaint against Sharma in this regard at Oshiwara police station. He, in the complaint, had alleged that the comedian has carried illegal construction around his flat at DLH Enclave on New Link Road in Goregaon.
On basis of Jagtap’s complaint, the Oshiwara police station on Tuesday registered the FIR against Sharma under section 53(7) of Maharashtra Regional Town Planning Act (MRTP) 1966.
Following this the forest department swung into action and conducted the survey at Sharma’s office.
