The Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is doing excellent business at the box-office.The period drama collected Rs 76.65 crore at the national box-office in 10 days, Rs 94 crores gross in India at the end of the second weekend and crossed 2.85 million US Dollars in overseas markets, crossing the coveted Rs 115 crore mark worldwide. The film was released in over 3000 screens in India and over 700 screens in overseas markets.

Starring Kangana Ranaut, Ankita Lokhande and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is a period drama that chronicles the life of the bravest woman in our history, Rani Laxmibai.
Kangana Ranaut plays the role of Jhansi Ki Rani and has impressed the masses with the trailer of the film. On the other hand, television star Ankita Lokhande is all set to mark her debut with the film as she plays Jhal Kari Bai who was the major supporter of Rani Laxmi Bai in the war from the British.
Ever since the announcement of the film, Manikarnika was surrounded by a pool of controversies from actors like Sonu Sood leaving the film to the script credits and threats from the Karni Sena.
