New Delhi: A three time National award winner, actress Kangana Ranaut has come a really long way and by the way her life is going it seems the road ahead is full of hurdles. But, she doesn’t care much. Kangana, who has set a perfect example for women, says that she is not ashamed of her identity.

In a bare-it-all interview with a prominent news channel, Kangana Ranaut spoke about her career, life and controversies like never before. In her interview she said that though she was ready for the battle with Hrithik Roshan, it has been unsettling for her.

Kangana said,

“I was not prepared for this. This has brought about a different side of the society even for me. I can understand that people are envious, insecurity has always been there but it doesn’t mean that you should subject someone to this kind of brutality.”

Hrithik and Kangana’s fight has opened a Pandora’s Box of secrets of Bollywood. It also brings out the stark reality of glamour behind the stars. Kangana, who is standing tall against all odds, came down heavily on the A-listers of tinsel town. She said that she does not expect any of her Bollywood friends to come to her help. Being the independent woman she is, Kangana asked why should one ask me if Bollywood has accepted me.

“I should be the one to accept Bollywood.”

Kangana, whose career is at her peak also said,

“Attempts are being made to destroy my career. Whether they are succeeding or no is another question.”

Apart from Hrithik’s allegations on her, Kangana Ranaut was recently also accused of being a practitioner of black magic by her ex boyfriend Adhyayan Suman. Reacting to those controversial words by Adhyayan, Kangana said that it is very easy to call a woman a witch, a whore, a psychopath or drug addict for that matter.

“Right now I do not want to detach myself from these names. There is no evidence how the history of mankind has been affected by witch-craft. But there is significant factual history of how millions and millions of women have been burnt in name of witch-craft. In this age also, when we have to project our frustration on a woman, the first thing we call her is a daayan, chudail, whore.”

She added sternly,

“What we need to do right now as a society is not disown any of it. Why do we need to disown a witch?”

When asked if Kangana is ashamed of something in her life, she answered in the negative. The ‘Queen’ actress said

“There is nothing in my life that can put me to shame.” Kangana, whose life is an inspiration for many, added, that she would rather get hurt by people than not trusting them.

On asked how does she want the entire controversy to end, Kangana Ranaut said,

“Definitely to end on a note where we as a society understand that these so called high class people are more hollow than they show. So it is good that everything is out in the public.”
