Kajol, an active supporter of eradicating preventable deaths from hygiene-related issues, has become an advocacy ambassador for a Swachh Aadat Swachh Bharat initiative.
Kajol on Thurday took to Twitter to urge people to become "swachhta doot" and contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
"It's a great honour to be chosen as the Advocacy Ambassador for the Swachh Aadat Swachh Bharat 'haath muh bum' initiative Hindustan Unilever. I urge people to become a Swachhta Doot and contribute to a better tomorrow," Kajol tweeted.
Earlier, Kajol who was the Advocacy Ambassador of Swachh Aadat Swachh Bharat said: “Health and sanitation has always been a major concern for India, especially for children. As a mother who understands the importance of hygiene, I am honoured to be associated with the Swachh Aadat, Swachh Bharat campaign to help make a difference. My sincere appeal to the nation is to take up the cause personally, and spread the message of this powerful campaign. I am confident that together we can achieve a ‘Playing Billion’ for India.”
Kajol's husband and actor Ajay Devgn expressed his happiness over her achievement.
