New Delhi: God of South Rajinikanth's upcoming movie Kabali is all set to release on this Friday. But the excitement among people in Chennai is too palpable that approx all the tickets of the movie in 400 theatres are sold out before the releasing date.

The unprecedented demand of the strongly desired tickets among people in Chennai resulted in advance booking especially over the movie's first three days. Social media has also scuttle butting about the movie that there will be a special 1 am shows on 22 July for the audience because of their unconditional love for Rajinikanth. But according to the producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, the first show will begin only on the morning of the releasing date.

SPI Cinemas is one of the most popular theatre chains in Chennai having 27 screens across the city will also be screening 96 shows of the movie per day. SPI opened its pre-booking services on 15 July in which all the tickets of the 96 shows had been sold out for the first three days.

Even Rakesh Gowthaman owner of Vettri Theatres in Chennai told a leading daily , “We have two theatres – Vetrri and Rakesh – and all the tickets for the first day have been reserved by friends, family, VIPs and people on social media. This has never happened before in our theatre! In the city, there are no tickets available across screens for the first three days and people are now calling me for tickets. In fact, Lions Club wanted tickets for an entire show and I had to decline. Now they are going to Coimbatore to watch the film”. 

While asking about this unprecedented demand, he said, “Director Pa Ranjith has shown Rajinikanth portraying his actual age in Kabali and people want to see that. Secondly, the teaser and the song ‘Neruppu Da’ is mind-blowing and people love it.”

Also, other states like Karnataka and Kerala too having unbelievable craze for the movie Kabali. Tamil Nadu government has asked the cinema owners not to exceed the price of the tickets from Rs 120, but these two states are setting their price range from Rs 150 to Rs 600.

People are building connections to score all Kabali tickets with an eagerness which is difficult to hold till 22 July. This incredible craze of Kabali among people is creating a huge curiosity about the concept of the movie as well as the role of Legend Rajinikanth.
