Actor Varun Dhawan’s latest release Judwaa 2 is receiving good response at the box office. The film earned Rs 16.10 cr on its opening day and now, the total collection of the film so far stands at Rs 59.25 cr. Being the long weekend, the collections are expected to increase in coming days. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the figures on social media and informed that the film had a smashing weekend.
Taran took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the numbers. He tweeted, “#Judwaa2 Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr. Total: ₹ 59.25 cr. India biz... Will score BIG numbers again today [holiday].”
The film earned Rs 16.10 cr on Friday and then minted Rs 20.55 cr and 22.60 cr on Saturday and Sunday making the overall collection of the film Rs 59.25 cr. As today is a holiday, chances are high that the film will earn good amount.
This year after Baahubali 2, the performances of only few films like Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Bareilly Ki Barfi were good.
This is definitely good news for Varun. Judwaa 2 is the remake of 1997 film Judwaa that featured superstar Salman Khan. Along with Varun, the film also stars actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles.
