The makers of ‘Jolly LLB 2’, Fox Star Studios have today agreed to withdrew the plea from SC against the HC court order to delete four scenes from the movie.

Yesterday, Bombay High Court ordered to delete few scenes after the three-member committee found some scenes from the movie defaming the image of the Indian Judiciary.

The three-member committee found that there were scenes and dialogues that were showing lawyers in bad light. Thus, it ordered to remove four scenes.

One scene that portrayed scarred judge hiding himself under the table, and another shot where shoe was hurled was asked to be removed by the board.

Akshay reacted on the deletion of scenes and said that he respected high Court’s decision and they were abiding by the rules by making the desired changes.

It all started when a practising sessions court lawyer Ajaykumar Waghmare filed a petition alleging that the film was tarnishing the reputation of Indian legal profession by showing lawyers in bad light. Waghmare also demanded to drop ‘LLB’ from the title.

‘Jolly LLB 2’ is the sequel of 2013 film ‘Jolly LLB’. Besides Akshay, the film also stars Huma Qureshi and Annu Kapoor in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on February 10.
