Since last December to August till now, Bollywood’s leading Khan’s have made their respective offerings to the Indian cinema. Last year in December, Aamir Khan’s Dangal came out, which was a biopic of Mahavir Phogat and his wrestler daughters, Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari. The film received vast critical acclaims from Bollywood buffs around the world. In June this year, Salman Khan presented his Tubelight which didn’t live up to the hopes of Kabir Khan and Salman lovers. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal met the similar fate last week.

Let’s have a brief lookout to box office collection of films presented by three Khans of Bollywood.
Dangal
Dangal being last year’s one of the finest film manages to do wonders on Box Office as well. On its 5th day of opening itself, the film crossed its 150-crore mark. After a five-day run, the total collection of Dangal stood close to Rs. 155 crore. In fact, Dangal is the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide with total collection of more than 1700 crore on Box Office. This year, Aamir Khan is all set again to spread his magic in Secret Superstar, which features Dangal-fame Zaira Wasim in the lead role.

Tubelight
Salman Khan’s most anticipated movie of the year showed a rollback in its Box Office collection after day 3. Despite a lot of buzz around the movie, it failed to cast a spell on Salman Khan fans. Many critics found that in Tubelight, Kabir Khan tried to repeat the Bajrangi Bhaijaan stunt again on silverscreen. Contrary to rest of Salman Khan films, Tubelight managed to rake in only Rs. 95.86 crore within five days of opening. Fans will be seeing Salman Khan again in Ali Abbas Zafar-directorial Tiger Zinda Hai along with Katrina Kaif. The film is slated to release in December this year.
Jab Harry Met Sejal
Owing to the curiosity around its title and high hopes from the superstar Shah Rukh Khan, the Imtiaz Ali-directorial was expected to do wonders with both critics and Box Office. But outcomes were rather contradictory. The film received lukewarm response from film critics and audience as well. Viewers and critics found the film too bland and lacking depth of story. It is expected that SRK’s Jab Harry Met Sejal will meet the same fate as Tubelight. On Day 5, JHMS stands close to Rs. 53 crore on Box Office, which is even lower than Tubelight’s 5-day collection.

People had high hopes from Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal as none of the films this year did an expected business on Box Office. But JHMS disappointed the audience as much as Tubelight did. Despite a strong star cast, the film failed to spread the magic on Box Office. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen next in Aanand L. Rai’s next which is yet to be titled.
