National Award-winning actor Samuthirakani has said that working with superstar Rajinikanth in the upcoming film Kaala felt like a lifetime achievement. The actor was all praises for the superstar and stated that he has waited for so long to share the screen space with him. The actor, however didn’t reveal much details about his role in Tamil gangster drama but stated that he is thrilled. Samuthirakani also talked about the feeling that he had after completing the first shot.
"When I finished the first shot with Rajini sir, I felt so proud about myself. It felt like a lifetime achievement. I have waited really long to share screen space with him," Samuthirakani told IANS.
While he remains tight-lipped about his role, he is thrilled about the project.
Bankrolled by Dhanush, Kaala reunites Rajinikanth with director Pa. Ranjith of Kabali fame.
In the film, Rajinikanth plays a slum lord-turned-gangster.
Kaala also features Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Pankaj Tripathi and Anjali Patil, among others and the music has been composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
