After garnering praises in India, actor Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium has been welcomed with open hearts in China. The movie has collected Rs 24.31 crore on its opening day breaking the record of Aamir Khan’s Dangal and Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Hindi Medium is the third film to get released in China this year after Secret Superstar and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The numbers were shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media.

Taran took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the figures. He tweeted, “The MASSIVE START of #HindiMedium in China should encourage the makers of content-driven Indian films, which don’t ride on star power, to release their films in China... You never know what luck has in store for you!”

It goes without saying that the movie is going to perform well in coming days.

It seems that Chinese market has become profitable for Bollywood films.   Earlier, Secret Superstar and Bajrangi Bhaijaan received overwhelming response at the Chinese box office.

Hindi Medium tells the story of parents who tried hard to give their daughter the best English medium education. It also showcases the Hindi-English language war in India. The actor was praised for his performance and the film also featured Pakistani actress Saba Qamar.
