Actor Rajkummar Rao’s Newton has become India’s official entry into the prestigious Oscar Awards 2018 but here’s the sad news for all movie buffs as the film has reportedly been leaked online. Speculations were rife that Newton became the latest victim of piracy and was available for download at many websites within 24 hours of its release. This comes as a big disappointment as there are chances that this will affect the box office business of the film.

Over the time, many films became the victim of piracy and this has been a big issue for filmmakers and actors. It is yet to be known in coming time if the film manages to earn good numbers at the box office.

Newton, directed by Amit V Masurkar features the story of Nutan Kumar aka Newton, who is sent to a Naxal-controlled town to conduct election. Many Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan and Anurag Kashyap heaped praises on the actor for his powerful performance.

As Newton is going to places, Rajkummar told to IANS, “Whatever good is happening with Newton is because of my mom's blessings. I really believe in that.”

Before Newton, Rajkummar played a goofy role in Bareilly Ki Barfi. The film performed well at the box office.
