With the lead pair Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor and revamped version of some famous old songs, the makers of ‘OK Jaanu’ took an intelligent decision to release the flick on January 13. As the other releases were almost after two weeks, the film was spared from any clash. But here is a new twist, actress Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’ will be releasing on January 14.
Today Deepika took to Twitter to inform that the Hollywood movie, which was slated to release on January 20, will be releasing a week before in India. She tweeted, “thrilled to announce that #XxX:TheReturnofXanderCage will release in India first!before anywhere else in the world! #14thJanuary #VinDiesel.”
This is great news to all the movie buffs who were waiting to see the scorching chemistry between the dimpled beauty and Vin Diesel. But, it will definitely give sleepless nights to the ‘Ok Jaanu’ makers.
Though ‘Kaabil’ and ‘Raees’ were set to clash at the box office but ‘Ok Jaanu’ was the first romantic film of 2017, and was spared from any kind of box office battle.Shah Rukh starrer 'Raees' and Hrithik's 'Kaabil' are all set to hit screens on January 25.
Now, both the movies will lock horns at the box office. Looking at the popularity of Deepika in India, her film will definitely affect the business of ‘Ok Jaanu’.
On a related note, ‘Ok Jaanu’ is the remake of Tamil film ‘Ok Kanmani’. The project has been directed by Shaad Ali. ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’ features Vin Diesel and Nina Dobrev alongside Deepika Padukone.
