Actress Deepika Padukone is garnering praises for her wonderful performance in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial venture Padmaavat. This is known to all that the film is doing wonderful business at the box office. In an interview to India TV, Deepika talked about various aspects of the magnum opus and controversies that made headlines.
The actress stated that she never thought that the film would never get released. She was confident that people will love Padmaavat. Deepika stated that whatever happened with the film and Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the earlier days was bad.

The dimpled beauty was extremely happy with the love that people are showering on the star cast. Deepika said that she has no regrets if the film didn’t get screened in some states. Talking about death threats that she received, the lady stated that not even for a second she was scared. Deepika told that now all of them are in the celebratory mood. On being asked if she’ll do any historical film, the lady happily said yes.
Deepika stated that more big budget woman-centric films should be made. Talking about 'jauhar' scene, she said that it was very challenging for her as an actor.
For the uninitiated, Padmaavat has been in controversies right from the beginning. The movie faced protests from various religious groups alleging that Bhansali has distorted the historical facts. The movie released on January 25 and has entered the coveted Rs 100 cr club. Along with Deepika, the film also featured Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles.
