Actor Kapil Sharma, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Firangi, is on a promotional spree these days. After making revelations about his spat with former co-star Sunil Grover, Kapil has now stated that he has lied to his mother regarding his show and health. In an interview to a leading daily, the actor stated that he has cheated his mother and he is not proud of it.
Kapil said that after his show went off air, his mother used to ask him about it, but he kept lying to her that it was because of strike. He added that he didn’t want her mother to get worried, so he didn’t tell her about his deteriorating health.
DNA quoted Kapil as saying, “I have cheated my mom and I’m not proud of it. My mental condition wasn’t okay and I didn’t want to disturb my mother, but now she’s happy.”
He went on to say that he called his mother to Mumbai and used to drink at night in his room thinking that his mother would never know. He said, “I called her here in Mumbai and I would stay in front of her all the time at home. But andar jaake apne kamre mein raat ko pee loon toh usko kaha pata chalega.”
Kapil revealed that his mother has a cameo in Firangi and sister, babhi are also present in the film.
On a related note, Firangi is all set to hit the screens on November 24.
