Actor Prakash Raj, who was recently into news after he lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his silence on journalist Gauri Lankesh's murder, has now clarified that he is not going to return his National Awards. While speaking in Bengaluru, the actor questioned Narendra Modi’s silence and slammed people who are celebrating Gauri Lankesh's murder on various social media platforms. Taking a jibe at the PM, he stated that he has five National Awards but there are bigger actors than him who deserve them.
Ever since, Prakash said this, speculations started doing the rounds that he will return his National Awards. The actor recently shared a video on micro-blogging site Twitter saying that he is not a fool to return his National Awards.
He said that he was taken aback with the celebration of inhuman killing adding that after he vented out his anger, he was trolled. He further said that Narendra Modi’s silence over Gauri Lankesh's murder has disappointed him. He said, “I am hurt with the silence.”
Prakash is considered as one of the finest actors of Tamil cinema. He was also praised for his performances in Bollywood films like Dabangg 2 and Singhum Returns.
