Gurmehar Kaur has become the talk of the town and many people including celebs have expressed their opinions regarding her. Joining the bandwagon, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma said that anyone can have a opinion. However, she refrained from making any personal remarks.

In an interview with an English daily, the “PK” actress said, "It's a personal view, don't want to make it public”.

When asked about dissent and nationalism, the 28-year-old actress said that everybody should have a right to express their own opinion.

Kaur has allegedly been receiving rape threats after social media post against the BJP-linked student outfit ABVP.

She then went on to start an online campaign known as #StudentsAgainstABVP holding a placard.  She then posted it as her display picture on social media, which became viral.

What followed next was that former cricketer Sehwag, wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt and actor Randeep Hooda questioned her motives and trolled her in the long run.

Shatrughan Sinha has lashed out against Sehwag and Hooda saying that the girl was being terrified into silence by the self-appointed desh bhakts and nationalists who are simply “closet bullies”

On the work front, Anushka will be seen next in her production venture “Phillauri”, which also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma.

The film is slated to release on March 24.
