Few days back, Tinsel town was abuzz with the news of actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan doing a dance sequence in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Padmavati’. Now, as per the latest hearsay, the news was a mere rumour as there was no room for any dance number in Deepika Padukone starrer.
A source revealed that though Aishwarya and Sanjay share cordial relations, there was never any talk regarding her involvement in the flick. The source further added that the film revolves around three principle characters played by Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid. Thus, there was no room for any other female character in the flick.
Previously it was speculated that Aishwarya may perform a dance face off with leading lady Deepika as SLB’s last movies had some epic dance face offs. ‘Devdas’ had a beautiful dance sequence performed by Aish and Madhuri whereas ‘Bajirao Mastani’ also had the dance off between the leading ladies.
Now, this new development will disappoint all the Aishwarya fans who were waiting to see the Bollywood diva shaking her leg on Sanjay’s tune. Aishwarya had worked with the director in the past in ‘Devdas’, ‘Hum…Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and ‘Guzaarish’.
‘Padmavati’ is a period drama that starts Deepika as the protagonist whereas Shahid will play the role of Padvamavati’s husband. Ranveer Singh will be seen as antagonist in the flick. It is all set to hit the screens on November 17, next year.
